Don’t know, and I have an LS, so I just buy the Moog joint and the problem solver bushings to rebuild my LCA’s
the SS issue is up to the aftermarket manufacturing companies, TRW was the vendor , but with such a low production of SS’s , no big profit!
So, no ball joints for you! Unless you purchase one of the very few rights and left LCA’s specifically for the HHR SS

Whopper, it wasn’t directed at you , your post was quoted to get the post about the ball joint and ride height.

[QUOTE=Moog part numbers are still the industry standard. If they don't list a part there is no part number for others to use.[/QUOTE]

It isn't in the Moog catalog for reasons we are not privy to. Who knows who the Original vendor was?
They used to publish a book with all of the tech specs of every part number so an enterprising parts guy could find something in stock that would "work". Can't do that with parts anymore; if the application is not listed it does not exist. Parts guys no longer have 6 feet of books on the counter.

I couldn't get a oil filter for my first Toyota Tacoma for a year until somebody published a new book.

TRW is a brand name owned by Northrup-Grumman along with Federal-Mogul and several others at the moment. That has changed several times in the last 10 years. At one time TRW also was a CIA contractor, the building they moved out of had a mysterious huge cable running up the center of it to an ultra low frequency antenna that is rumored to been the comms for the submarines.. Northrup-Grumman has sold off various divisions of it's holdings over the years.

Here in Fredericksburg we have a huge empty building with a sign on it that says GM Drivetrain.

TRW Automotive is now German-owned. ZF owns them as of about 2016. I might poke around, and see if I can come up with something. I have several contacts that were TRW. TRW had other businesses that were not part of that sale as well. ZF bought a lot of under car, ABS, Stability control, and base braking in the deal. Possibly some driveline, too...

Moog is Federal Mogul, and with their bankruptcies, I think now they are just aftermarket sales. I have heard they are all Chinese parts, but don't know. The bankruptcies resulted in a bunch of my friends getting laid-off or leaving to flee chaos.

EDIT: If I still worked at GM, I could figure out the Tier 2 supplier in minutes. Not sure I can get SQ to do anything for me now.

I had a pair with TRW ball joints, didn’t last as long as the Moogs, but longer then the OEM.

I think you would be hard pressed to find ANY after market car parts that are actually made by the company whose name is on the box. All of the "name" brands have become just that; a name on a box.

Remember when Emerson was the best electronics you could buy? Now it is cheap crap.

Amen! It’s along time since they were the cats meow!

I believe now in time, don’t go , with the cheap, I’m selling it parts, but at the same time don’t over spend on brand name parts that were the best back in the day.
For example the thermostat deal, Stant was highly regarded, but now, they don’t work in the Ecotec.
