The last time I had a "biased rich" O2 code it was indeed a bad O2 sensor. The wires had chafed on the frame.

A stuck rich O2 sensor will cause the engine to run lean. The ECU sees "rich" and cuts back on the fuel in an attempt to get the A/F ratio where it's supposed to be. Also causing the misses.

Yes I'm north of Mebane, actually north of 49 up 119.
Battery is about about 6 months old.
Which is the number one? Where is it located? I found the one nearly in the middle of the car after the converter. I guess that is #2?

#1 O2 sensor is near the Exhaust manifold, #2 O2 sensor is after the first cat (if yours has 2).

Item 608 is the #1 Sensor. You can see it by looking down over the left hand (Driver Side) rear section of the motor

I found O2 sensor 1. It is hard to reach but I have found it. I am going to clear the code and see what happens. That is exactly what I needed to find it. Thanks for that diagram.

I cleared the code and hasn't come back yet but I have not driven it yet. Will do that in the morning.

CEL came back on and it is still not running right. Have we decided that it is the O2 sensor number 1 that may be causing it?
Should I take it to the dealer for service?

I got it scanned this morning and got code P2196. That says P2196 O2 Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Rich (Bank 2 Sensor 1) Code

Read more at: http://www.obd-codes.com/p2196

So what do I need to do? Replace the O2 sensors?
