I had this code come on friday and after waiting for the weekend to be over I made it to chevy and they did a quick look and i was looking over there shoulder and saw the code. I had a friend clear the code but was wondering if anybody else has had this one? It told me a rich o2 sensor or leaking injector and have not had the code come back yet just incase it does I would start the search!

 

Here is the conditions to set P2196:
P2196
• The ECM detects that the HO2S 1 signal is biased rich.

• DTC P2196 sets within 1 second when the above condition is met continuously, or within 10 seconds when met cumulatively.

The service manual says to verify the O2 circuits and if ok replace the O2

 

Another O2 gone. Ive been through 3 already
