Question 15 inch rims and tires???

Is there a 15 inch rim out there for the HHR? If so what tires size would be recommended?

I want a set of 15s so I can put a tire with a taller sidewall on and get a softer ride.

may not clear brake rotor. only way to get "soft" ride nowdays is to get an older linc towncar. had one a few years back and you could fall asleep driving it, so smooooth!

The 15" rims from the 04-08 Malibu will work for you, and 205/65/15 tires will be within .08% of the stock size in overall diameter so no issues with tires rubbing on the lower spring perches.

843de never fails to help out. Good info!! Thanks!

I bet a 16" rim would provide almost the same ride. It only removes a half inch of rubber cushion and are easily found.

Thanks! There has to be at least some improvement in ride quality and noise levels with a smaller rim and more sidewall. Gonna start lookin round for some rims and see what I get. May take awhile but Ill keep yall posted.

Thanks nacademus & ebritt, just trying to be helpful when I can offer something up that assists another member here. A pat on the back is always nice every once and a while.

I bought 15" rims from Tire Rack and had them mount Michelin snow tires on them. They work fine just not a lot between rim and rotor.
