Here's a pic with my son's cobalt wheels w/goodyear Eagle GT's 225-45-18
not crazy about the black paint on wheels, rides well on these tires. will receive the gunmetal cobalt rims mon., and will post a pic also. Sons cobalt now sporting g6 gtp rims which I may slap on my car for another pic. After this rim swapping, going to let him chose which ones he intends to keep for his birthday
present.

I'm running 245/40/18 on cobalt ss rims with progress springs. Rides and handles great.

So, the 225/45/18's don't rub anywhere? What about with lowering springs?

I'd rather run these than a 40 series but mine's a daily so I can't have any rub.

If you check 1Panel2nv HHR (June Feature of the Month) he is running 225 x 45 x 18's! There is probaly no Lowering Spring Kits sold that will lower your vehicle lower than his and I believe he has no issues with tire rub! Wheel offset could also be a determining factor about the rub issue!

Kendall, hope you don't mind me using the pic for reference ?

Has anyone used 2454518 or 2454018 on either a 7.5 or 8.5 rim or would that be pushing it to much.

8.5 should be ok. People have done it before with ss/sc wheels which are 7 inches wide, but it looks kind of funny.

225-45-18

The largest tire you can use on the front is 225-45-18, anything taller will hit on the bottom of the strut spring mount. I put them on mine with Goldline springs and I think it looks decent.

245 45 18 are too tall for the front.
