2008 auto SS - new tires

I blew my right rear tire on a curb yesterday. After 30K on the car it may be time to get new tires all over. Any recommendations (and maybe even best prices) for a complete set?

Eagle GT seems to be popular.

What size? I just replaced 215/50/17 with Sumitomo HTR PA01. I debated getting Michelin Primacy or Continental Conti, but CR ranked the Sumitomos in 2nd place and they were $250 less. So far they seem quieter and better riding than the Firestones. The Firestones had warn evenly and still rode well so I believe that is a valid observation. Hopefully they will do well as the miles accrue. I'm pleased with them so far.

The 2008 HHR SS has 225/45/18 tires so that is what I should get, no?

Ive had the mx4's the dws's the f1's and now the 760 potenza's they are the smoothest and by far the best traction would go with 245x40's http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tir...45&ar=40&rd=18

Since there was curb contact involved, make sure whoever does your tires checks that rim for an out of round or bent condition.

Good advice - it doesn't take much to tweak a rim.

And how many more threads do we need to discuss what tires to buy? LOL

You aren't going to start buying tires each time a new thread comes up, are you?

If so, I'll take the cast-offs.......

On Topic........ Goodyear GT!
