I've heard of Nankang tires a little bit, I know they are made in Taiwan, but that's about it really.

Let us know how they work out for you, folks are always on the lookout for good tires at a low price.

I did read the reviews....Only a handful of bad reviews which seemed to have the same theme, people crashing into something and blaming the tires. most of the reviews said "good tire for the money." or something similar. I just wanted to pass it along because they are $84 cheaper suddenly today... I was eyeing them up a few weeks back and I'm glad I waited. It seems anything should be better than my nearly bald michellins the cheapest price I got from a tire shop around here was ~$750 after a mail in rebate(included mounting, balancing, etc) on falken tires....it was the only set available at pepboys somehow.

Ill never buy Falken tires again, not after i put brand new ones on my Lincoln Zephyr. The slightest rain or just moist roads, it was like driving on skis.

Edit: And they seemed out of round when they were cold.

Good luck! I had a buddy that bought some for his 22's because they were cheap but had good reviews...last all of about 10k miles...had problems with them balancing, etc. Hopefully you'll have much better luck with yours.

That's a fantastic price. I was eyeing those at $400, but it seemed a bit steep for a pretty no name product. $344 shipped seems pretty fair. I had a post about this grade of tire and it's all pretty negative, but no one has run on them.

Glad to see Chefhhr chime in with an actual second hand account. That's more than usually comes up.

I got a set of Falkens off ebay for $375 shipped. I was pretty happy with that. Little more than I was hoping to get away with, but they are at least a decent name brand with a warranty.

I'll be very interested to hear how you get on with those nankangs. Sears here quoted me a set of those out the door for like $700(?!?!?!lmao?!?!) So at least Sears sells them in their store...they can't be TOO horrible, right?
