Wow .. I just read the Tire Rack early reviews and it sounds pretty good if your just an average Joe + driver.

Early reviews show a 10 rating.

Me thinks a set of 225/50/17 94W Standard Load for my 2LT.

Has anybody tried this tire in any size yet ??

I've had them for a little over a year now. They're o'k. Wear is almost non existent. Handling is good (but would be better with a lowered car). Dry and wet traction is good. Noise is about average, I would say.

What else...specifically.

Oh I got a really good deal on them from a Discount Tire shop. A guy had them on his car(unknown) and came back the next day and traded them for something different. So, the store manager gave me a deal with the regular warranty and all. I paid something like $450 installed, balanced, taxes etc. I think the manager said they were a $700 + regular price. But I did noticed that Costco had them also for less,,,,,,somewhere around $150/tire. Just mentioning so you can do some comparison.

EDIT: Oh, forgot to say, I stayed with my stock size of 215-50-17 and have about 15,000 miles on them now.

Thanks for the info.

1. Did you get the Turanza Serenity or the Turanza Serenity Plus ??
The Plus is the newer improved tire.
2. Current specs show the stock 215/50/17 only available in an Extra Load which would be a tad harsher ride then a Standard Load.
I am looking to get a bit softer ride with a Standard Load tire.

$450 out the door is a Great Price for sure as I just called Costco here and they quoted me $847 Out the door for the plain serenity tire.
They do not have access to the Plus series yet.
I would probably stick with the standard 215/50/17"s if they were available in a Standard Load version.

I am also looking at the 225/50/17 Michelin Primacy MXM4 Standard Load as a 2nd choice.
Diameter 25.9"

Opps......

I do apologize. IT is the "regular" Serenity.

After you asked, I had to go check on the sidewall.

One thing I might mention (and that is why I also stated about handling better if it was lowered)......The tires tend to give some oversteer. I think because of the extra strength sidewall that Bridgestone uses.

My car, an "06 2lt, has an upgrade of the SS springs, struts, shocks so it is lowered slightly from stock. But I think about another 1/2 to 1 inch would be outstanding.

As far as the cost......yeah, oil prices are up so dependent industries, and ultimately the consumer, will suffer. But it's not over yet......wait until this winter and spring.

Costco has the "Turanza with Serenity Technology (eco)" which I don't see on Bridgestone's site; I assume it is a "club special"? From the web pricing and our 6% tax, I come up with about $649. Oh, it is a 93 load rating, not the 96 or 97 I see on XL. ???

Michelinman includes the club and Discount tire specials ... boo Bridgestone.

The Serenity (ECO) is the older version. It is on the Bridgestone site as I just looked at it. It is priced the same as the Plus Tire on Bridgestones site but thats not the real world.

I have 2 HHR's ... a 1LT and a 2LT
I would consider the 215/55/16 for the 1LT also.

In that case the new Serenety Plus, it offers an 80,000 mile warranty.
The Eco tire is a 75,000 mile warranty.
Both have a 93H rating ... Standard Load.

Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus .. Made my Move

Well after much research and thought, I decided to go ahead and order these tires ... but instead of putting them on the new 2LT, I will put a set of 215/55/16's on the 1LT.
They will be going on stock 5 spoke steel wheels and I will have the installer do a run out check on the wheels before mounting.

The car runs pretty smooth as is with the OEM Firestone Affinities but I want it all checked while there doing the new shoes.
Probably won't get them on for a few weeks but will update this post later when I have formed an Opinion on there performance.
The guys at Tire Rack I talked too rated them above the Michelin Primacy.

We'll see what I rate them !!

I went with the Kumho KH30 Ecowing from Discount. They're in the same class/price range as the Serenity Plus, also they're both a LRR (Low Rolling Resistance) or "Eco" tire. I'll tell you compared to the Falkens that were on it, the road noise is close to zero! I can actually hear myself think while I'm driving now For everyday driving, highway and round town they've been excellent. Anyways, thought I'd throw in my 2 cents

Thanks for the input.... I always welcome good informative stuff.

It looks like you and I are both sensitive to un-neccesary noise.
