Anybody tried the New BridgestoneTuranza Serenity Plus yet??
I've sold a few sets....different people have different reviews. Compare apples to apples.....It's a touring tire, not a performance tire. If you're looking for a smoother ride, head for the ecopia's from bridgestone.
One...shop for the best price out there, print it off and head to a Firestone store, we price match....
Two... we have a 30 day ride guarantee...take it back and swap to whatever you want for a refund (keep your old tires!!)

My Turenza Serenity Plus Tires just arrived from the Tire Rack in excellent condition.
Bundled 2 and 2.
They look nice and fresh. So far an Excellent transaction.
They also look very wide unmounted so just for kicks I measured the tread width.
It measures a solid 7 1/4"
Tire Rack .. Bridgestone Specs show .. 7"
I measured the stock OEM Firestone Affinity Touring AS on the car.
They measure 7"
No Big Deal but it shows that all the specs are not the Gospal Truth .....
I'll be having them mounted when I get time and start the testing process.
Won't know much till after the 500 mile break in.

Well after much research and thought, I decided to go ahead and order these tires ... but instead of putting them on the new 2LT, I will put a set of 215/55/16's on the 1LT.
They will be going on stock 5 spoke steel wheels and I will have the installer do a run out check on the wheels before mounting.
The car runs pretty smooth as is with the OEM Firestone Affinities but I want it all checked while there doing the new shoes.
Probably won't get them on for a few weeks but will update this post later when I have formed an Opinion on there performance.
The guys at Tire Rack I talked too rated them above the Michelin Primacy.
We'll see what I rate them !!

75 miles and up to 60 mph. On many different road surfaces.
Heres my results so far...
1. Comfort level @ 30 psi cold Front and Rear.
Same as Firestones
2. Handling in general.
Same as Firestones except just a tad more wander @ hiway speed.
3. Traction .. Don't know yet as still breaking in tires.
4. Road noise .... Same as Firestones with one terrible exception.
These tires have a "Harmonics" noise between 46 and 55 mph.
Worse on smooth pavement but noticeable on most all types of roads once you tune in.
This is a BIG unexpected Negative for me as it is a problem that will be there every time I drive the car. Wife aggree's.
I have no way of knowing whether this problem exsists with all sizes and vehicles using this tire but it is very noticeable on my HHR.
I am now going to look for something else.
A message for Bridgestone ...
What a lousy way to release a new tire into the line....

SF- Call Tire Rack, they should take em back..
Bummer they weren't what you hoped for.
@ 30 psi cold, I could see them want to wander, that's not enough air.
Tire pressure should be 35psi. Might quiet em down a bit also..
Edit: nevermind, I see you got the 16", I was thinking of 17".............OOOps !!

Really a let down when you read all the Data and reviews.
Now may be if I was hard of hearing they would get past pass the smell test.
Same Ole Thing ... Proof is in the Puddin !!
I even bumped them up to 32 PSI to see if the noise would change.
Not a bit.
I run 35 psi in the 2LT ..17"
I have no problem so far with Tire Rack. This will be the test.
The sales part has been stellar.
I may hurt a few feelings out there but I have to say that contrary to all beliefs, the Firestone Affinity Standard Touring S-4 M/S seems to do better then the last 2 brands I have tried.
I have to leave for a minute to go wash my mouth out ...
1. Michelin Primacy MXV4 Standard Load
2. Bridgestone Serenity Plus. Standard Load
Of course this has to take into consideration what I am searching for in a tire.
Rudeboy.....

I've got the Ecopia's EP422 on order (P215/50R17), but after further research decided the Serenity Plus is more desirable. They are rated better for Ride Comfort and Quiet Ride, as well as Wet and Dry Performance. Of course they are lower for fuel efficiency.
Am i missing something?
