Anyone run Nitto NeoGen ZR's????

Time for new shoes on the SS (63k on factory Michelins) and I sent my local tire guy my list for 245/40/18's. It included tires I've run and been pleased with in the past and a couple of known good newer tires. He called me with pricing and all are comparable but he stated he had a set of Nitto NeoGen ZR's in my size in-stock and his installed price is FAR cheaper than the rest of my list. The Nitto 555 Extreme Performance was one tire on my list so I like Nittos to start with. His installed price is better than DiscountTire's online price before installation

Anybody run the NeoGen's??? They seem to have good reviews on all sites.

I have them on my MINI... I don't really like them. Can't recall how long I had them, but they didn't seem to last long, and got VERY noisy towards the end.

Has anyone put Yokohama tires on their SS? I see NTB and Merchants are selling Yokos for 50% off this weekend.

I almost went with Yokohamas but instead I went with the Nitto Invos. They are an excellent summer tire (I won't be using them once the cold weather comes in) and they are soft (which isn't a problem with our lighter vehicles) and real sticky, along with being super quiet. The only thing with that, is that they have a lower tread wear rating, so they won't last as long as some other tires

I will accept the shorter tread life though, for the added handling

How about the Nexen tires? I know a place where you can get a set of 4 new for $450 installed. Also, where do you get good reviews on the quality of wheels like the Drifz?
