This is probably buried somewhere, but I"ll ask and maybe someone can tell.
So Far I'm looking for a
16x6.5; 5x110 mm rim OR a 17x6.5

Any ideas on what the offset is? I'm hoping for a Craigslist score, maybe find a rim from another make and model that will fit.

I got mine off craigslist... I am not sure what the offset is but I just searched HHR or Cobalt. You know if it fits either of those it will probably fit yours. (Assuming your SS doesn't have the Brembos of course)

Those of you who change out your wheels for winter, do you have to have the tire pressure sensors in the winter wheels to keep the tire light on the dash from coming on?

I put them in my Goodyears. It is not hard to reset them just a added cost. I just added them to keep everything working and I also got them at cost.

Did you get the actual GM sensors or aftermarket?
Does anyone know if there is a universal aftermarket sensor that works with the HHR?

Got mine from Nesmith Chevy in Claxton GA. They were the AC Delco GM
part# 15922396.

There are some on E bay cheap but I do not know it they work well or not.

I was affraid to take a chance and had the chance to get these others from the dealer.

Note if your using steel wheels you only need the rubber stemed ones. You can unscrew the sensor if needed and replace the stem if needed.

I just bought a set of 4 OEMs on eBay for $50. I appreciate this thread, because I'm getting dedicated snow tires and I never thought about sensors til I saw this. So, thank you very much. This is another reason I love chevyhhr.net!!!!!

Just purchased Michelin X-Ice Xi2 205/60R 15 with steel wheels and tire sensors from Tire Rack for $625. From what I have researched they are one of the better tires. Will get them in a few days hope they are good in the ice and snow. Will let you know what my findings are.

15's ? don't see anything smaller than 16's at Tire Rack for the HHR. Guess they should fit if you got the right bolt circle. Like to see pics when you get them. Would like to go to that size next winter if they fit, want a taller tire for better ride over bumps. These 17 OEM's on bumps really jolt things up.
