Effects of wheel spacers, adapters, and changing offset

Interesting article from an engineer about what happens when you make changes from a stock setup. Not just premature bearing failure, but potentially dangerous steering situations.

Nice info

Thanks for all the information but when you're driving a car literally less than a mile per day and you live by the beach it really doesn't matter the car never really goes far so it's an old car with almost 200,000 miles as long as it looks good and it's somebody's second vehicle like mine it is more for the look and cruising on weekends so if you want to make it look good spacers are just fine I've gone to the professionals around town who do this kind of work and said it doesn't harm the vehicle at all and these are people that have been has been in business for over 50 years doing wheels and tires and rims they work on the most exotic cars and put spacers on cars everyday so sometimes you don't have to listen to science you could just use your own logic and what makes you happy good day everyone

Yes to each their own, however the science is still there and helpful information.

Hhr

Well enjoying my car with the spacers just took a 4-Hour Drive to Orlando Florida and back the car drives perfect had the alignment checked everything is perfect I guess the spacers really do work and look amazing so anyone thinking about it but I'm on your car it looks great and gives it a wider stance giving it better handling
