Nice tread pattern and good chunky tread blocks on the shoulders where you need 'em in aggressive cornering, I think you'll like them. How much did they set you back if I can ask?

I wish I lived somewhere that I could put these on now. Summer tires are about finished around here. It will be around the freezing point the next several mornings, so no-go.
Good choice on tires, though.

:What ya gona put those on 10 cm shorter than stock 40cm wider, with pedders the height will look ok but will they turn ? I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I'm fixin to order some 255x40's to go on the 8" wide solistice wheels. Would love to hear how the mounting goes. thumb:

You will love them. I have the 555's on my Lightning. I do like the low noise and great treadwear rating that the 555's provide. I do still have some traction issues with them but overall, they are great performance street radial with decent wet weather manners. I still need to upgrade to drag radials and long bars for optimium traction on my truck. When I had my SS, these were the tires I was going to go with, after the Michelins were done.

Good Luck,

Dave

Nittos Suck, Old Technology, and you NT555r would be a step up in compound.

Just sayin as your going to still blow the tires off the car.
