I tried buying the Conti's back a few months ago, but I was told from Tire Rack they were on backorder. Apparently the Conti's were made in the area of that big Japanese tsunami and they haven't gotten back on track yet. I bought the General's which were the 2nd highest rated from Tire Rack, good looking tire and I'm very happy with them.

Update:
I went to another shop and were suggested these Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus over the Gmax..they're rated for 70-80,000kms compared to the gmax for 50,000..and they were willing to negotiate price so looks like the michelins might be a winner.
Everyone keeps warming me about the Gmax for noise, especially when they get older so that's turning me off.
Anyone have or try these michelins?

Michelin's are usually too pricey for most people, but i've got them on my vehicles and never look at anything else. They stick to the road wet or dry.

Those are a great tire, the ones we put on 08 banshee's he loves them. That's a great price. We put 235x45x18 on his fit perfect. They are quiet as the gmax, and great traction too, he let me drive it, but it wasn't snowing.

No I think they are the same height, Banshee doesn't have coilovers and they don't rub anywhere. He said they were awesome on the snow. They were a lot more money 6months ago.

Did you notice these are Directional ??

Keep that in mind when you rotate.....

If you go with these let us know how you feel after driving for a while.
ie. road noise and ride and handling qualities.

A 235/40R18 is about dead even with the 215/55R16 and 215/50R17.
