The Saturn should have the same bolt pattern as the HHR. Swap wheels and see what you come up with. If you find a combination you like, you can always get the speedo calibrated. I realize the calibration is not actually in the speedo anymore but it can still be done.
Putting taller tires on is just just a 4x4 thing. I hate rubber band tires personally. The tires I'm putting on the back of my 34 Ford are going to be huge! Tall and wide! It is very common on street rods, and since the HHR is retro there is nothing long with a street rod look.
I agree with what has been said about finding 15s that will fit the HHR and just putting taller meat on them but trying to stay close to the normal outside diameter.

i love my 16s on my HHR
i like alot more rubber below and above the rim. i am just not into big wheels and lil thin tires.
My Shaggy rides great, corners awesome w the anti sway bar and i love my H rated tires. lots of bite and grip in all conditions. nice squeel and chirp as well in 1st and 2nd

Mike and all the rest of you guys, Thanks! I knew I could get the information I needed. I really like the stock 17" polished aluminum and unless I can find some 15" rims that look close and have them chromed, I will wait and suffer with the rubber band tires. I do not want to mess with the performance and take a chance on transmissino problems down the road.
