Thanks guys! I was looking at the gold Ultraleggera wheels on Tirerack, but they only go up to an 18" size. Well that and yikes! $400/ea AND special order? But please keep the suggestions coming!

Its your ride customize it the way you want so you are happy with it, don't worry what other people think. I see your really wanting gold wheels, if you can get gold overlays for your SS emblems on the side and back that match the front & back Chevy emblem, it would help a ton in pulling off the gold wheels. It would almost make it look like you got the SE gold package that are optional on some cars. Rim style and gold color selection are going to be a huge factor in how good you pull it off.

I MAY be leaning more towards a black/flat black mesh style wheel. I AM looking for a "deep faced" or deepdished look. If I go and get the Fall Edition H/L's and get the vinyl overlays for the bow ties (thinking black again) the black rims will look killer IMHO. I love the concept of gold rims since I've seen it on one other car around me (red Celica w/ gold rims) and the combination looked good, I think it'll look good here too. That, and I believe no other red HHR has gone the gold colored rim look yet.

Years ago I ran around with a guy who had a C 4 Vette with gold BBS wheels and I always admired Him for doing it and the car was striking red with those beautiful wheels. Don't let people sway you or your choices.

Then you will look my HHR SS and a few others with the black overlays and rims. Although my overlays and rims are a dark charcoal gray, they look black from a distance.
So if you want to be different, and stand out a little bit from the norm, do the gold theme.

Just another opinion...

Never seen gold on Vic Red, and I think that not only does it set this HHR SS apart simply to be different, but it looks damn GOOD! If you remember, Trans Ams had gold on red, orange, white and black.
