I want your successful rim transplant story

Waiting for the tax return to come in and baby needs a new pair of shoes. I want to go with a 235/45 17. Of course I need rims and I want the specs (width, offset) of the rim you have had success with using this size tire (or close).

Thanks all

Jim

If you get any offset from 35 to 42 you should be good with that size tire

Tireman1554, I don'y want to hijack this thread, but my Discount Tire source told me that 245-45-17's need to be on 17x8 rims. How are your tires wearing?

Ironic you say that. I worked for Discount Tire for 19 years and actually worked there when I put the tires and wheels on. Recently(about a year ago) I purchased the 245/45-17 from Tiremax and they fit and wore great. I just got rid of the car afew weeks ago and the tires still looked great.
