I just replaced my original 17" Firehawks on my '06 at 92,000 miles and still had some tread left. One of them develpoed a bulge in the side wall and I figured it was time. Actually I couldn' believe I got that type of life out the tire. I went with the 215-50-17 Goodyear Eagle GT's from Discount tire, so far so good, hope these last 92K miles...

My stock Michelin's were replaced at 14K miles because one developed a terrible sidewall bulge. Instead of just replacing half, I decided to do all 4. Put on General Exclaim UHP and so far I'm happy with them. Decent dry traction and great in the rain. They even have decent winter traction(Tire Rack recommends against using them in winter... I don't see why). We've already had snow and slush and they work as well as most all-seasons I have used in the past.

I sold the OE Firestones at 3700 miles and replaced them with Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Season tires. They went 29400 miles and the fronts corded because the toe-in was off and I didn't know it--probably was like that since new. Had the front end not been out of whack, those tires probably would have gone 35,000 miles...pretty good for an ultra performance radial and the way I drive.

I replaced the F1 ASes with Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds and had the front end alignment redone. Typically, Assurance gets better tread life so, with the front end now working right, I'll bet I'll see 40,000+ miles out of this set of tires.

I've posted more elsewhere about my HHR tire experiences. See:

I have 48,500 miles on mine. I had intended to replace them before winter hit here in upstate ny, but due to financial restrainst, I have yet to. We have had a couple snow storms, but i have made it through. I might try to make it till spring.

The Firehawks were removed at 50K.

They were replaced w/ Bridgestone Potenza G019s. Vast improvement in sound/ride/performance!!

Cool

35,000...They still had good tread, a little worn, mainly lots of highway miles....Saw this as a excuse to buy those "new" wheels I wanted. I have done this to almost all of my vehicles. I keep the old wheels and tire's and reinstall them when I sell.....Then I either install the "nicer" set on my new rig. If compatible, or sell then.....This has been going on for about 20 years....I have to say that when I changed from the sock 16's to the 18's my ride got rougher....But it sure looks better....One for the other ..... Ohno (Rick)

I got 57k out of my Infinity's. They still had tread on them but they really sucked in the snow. I replaced them with some American Platinum Radials. Wow, what a difference from the stock POS tires....

My 17 inch Firestones were replaced at around 37,000 miles with Goodyear Tripletreds. As many others have mentioned the stock Firestones were very useless in winter conditions at that time so it was better and safer for me to purchase some new rubber even though the Firestones had decent tread left.
