moving tpms

im thinking of picking up a set of stock ss wheels and just wondering if the sensors on my wheels will work on the rims? i had an issue before with tpms not working on another set of rims so im just wondering if there is any special way of mounting them or will it not matter
thx

Call yor GM parts dept. and ask them to see if the TMPS valves are different part numbers.

This isn't the exact same wheel exchange but I put 16" 1LT wheels on a 2LT that calls for 17"
The TPMS was not a problem but the air pressures were as the 2LT uses 35lb psi and the 16"1LT uses 30 lb PSI.

Therefore if I drop the air pressure in the 16's below 32 psi the low tire alarm goes off.

Check the door jam on an SS to see what the stock air pressure is.

Bottom line is stock SS recommended tire pressures will help dictate your answer.

I think the valve itself my be the same unless it is shaped different for the SS wheel.

I have switched the sensors from the SS to the LT, and the other way too. The problem seems to be at about 5 years the batteries start to go.
