need input hankook ventus v2 concept h437
Hi- I am ordering some hankook ventus v2 concept h437 to replace my Continental DWS tires. The Continental tires were supposed to be quiet according to people on this forum and at TireRack but they are absolutely horrible for road noise and vibration. They vibrate so bad my car is coming apart.
So, I have read that this a good cheap quiet tires @ $93 for 215/50R17.
Has anyone had any experience with these before it is too late for me to back out?

to the forum Major_Spittle!Severe vibration suggests to me that you might have a tire with broken belts or some other serious defect, or that the tires have picked up an odd wear pattern. How many miles are on your HHR, and have you checked to make sure you haven lost any balance weights?
I have the Conti DWS's and DW's and love them, but that doesn't mean people haven't had problems with them, that can be said of any tire brand. Personally, I've had bad luck with Michelin tires while others swear by them.
I'm pretty sure that someone will chime in on the Hankook tires you're considering, all I've seen are the ads for them in car magazines.
Welcome to the site , Major_Spittle . I had some DWS, found them to be noisy, I love these on mine they are a few more dollars, but that's what HHR mileage is for , saving money to buy good tires.
BWT, great northwest kinda tire. Here's what they look like with 10,000 miles.

If you want quiet great performing tires, get the Kumho Ecsta 4X. They are better than the Hankooks you are looking at for almost the same price and are quiet and are very near a summer only tire performance level but are all season capable. They have a slightly firmer ride than the Michelin Primacy I had before but they are way superior in every other category. Look at the reviews and survey results on them at Tire Rack, they are great. I got mine when they first came out so there was little gamble on my part but I am very happy with them. I run the 215-50-17 size.

I have the Hankooks on my 2002 Ford Lightning and they have proven to be good tires for me. The original Goodyears were very soft and wore out at about 32,000 mi...and I was lucky to get that much wear.
The Hankooks are harder, but are quiet and handle well.

i bought four Nexen N5000 that was recommended by my Chevrolet Dealer. Fantastic tires all around, braking cornering and ride comfort not to mention ok on quiet. Better than the second set which was top of the line Yokahoma's and Much better than original equipment Firestones. Price was 440.84 installed by chevy dealer.
