Need New Tires
A tire feathering is usually caused by bad toe.
That's why I said most sizes. I bet if you call now, they will cost more. Michelin had another price increase March 1st (atleast I know they did for medium truck tire, pretty sure all around though) If you had a Bridgestone only last 25,000 miles, someone sold you a speed rated tire, rather than a mileage tire.
I didn't pay anwhere near that for my HydroEdge Michelin's. They ran between $130 and $140 each, and they are a 90,000 mile tire. I've had four of them on my wife's car for over five years, they still show no wear, no cracking or rotting anywhere on any of the tires, thery look virtually the same as the brand new ones on the HHR. Of course its all a matter of personal preferance, and though Bridgestone is IMO an ok, tire, I have never had one last more than 25,000 miles.
Not all Michelins are overrated. When I worked in a Jag dealership, they were often the only tire that would hold up decent on a Jag with the camber angles they were set at. You'd usually replace anything else 4 sets to 3 sets of Michelins. Like anything, there's good ones and bad ones; you just have to do your homework on them.

Like I said the Bridgstone OEM's wore a lot faster than other brand OEM's. I have had some OEM's that have worn 60,000 miles or so, just not Bridgstones. Thats been my consistant experience, and the same for other folks I know too.
This is getting totally irrelevant - saying a specific tire is junk compared to "MY" tires is just that: Junk posts. Saying this tire lasts longer is just a junk comment to most of those looking for advise, cause you may get 1 Million miles out of them, but the next guy only gets 20 thousand miles....
If you are bragging about the long life from your tires... great, glad you got that long mileage and are happy about it. However someone who only gets half the mileage on your recommendation then complains about the tire life missed the point totally, as did you. You have to consider what the buyer is going to expect out of the tires, and how they are actually going to be used.
If you are after long life, get a long life tire. However if you also enjoy throwing your car through the corners with a bit of elan, then don't expect that those same tires will give you not only great handling, PLUS long life.
and gcsd3742 your first comment was spot on - this has been discussed time and time again, and we still have the Michelin camp going rah rah, and the Bridgestone camp gome, pick me - pick me! and the Goodyear camp going Goodness Gracious Grab mine.
However, we can all clown around and keep this thread going.
