Looks like stock lugs and friction fit plate then hub cap fits to the white nylon plate

The id for the hole is smaller than the od of the lug nut hex, so friction between the two holds the nylon plate on

Oldblue, so you made the nylon plates for Gohmer? Is there a chance I could get you to make a set for me? With a diameter of 9-1/4"

well I'm flattered that I get credited for Gohmer's ideas but as he states in post #9 I can't take credit for his design , but would love the plans or better yet a set of his for my winter rims, which I do not have a set for, my summer rims are Wheel Vintiques which have the baby moons, I bought these used from a member who sold his HHR to somebody and then sold his Davis Racing red rims to me!

Update: Ok the clip thing did not go well. W could not get the caps to fit flush. We are working on a new idea similar to Ghomer's.

Maybe on the same topic not sure. We drilled three holes in one of my wheels, Now my service traction and ABS lights are on. The wheel doesn't seem to be out of balance so bad as to make it bounce or shimmy. But would a slightly out of balance wheel douse this?

Out of balance should not make the abs light come on. Maybe you bumped abs wiring or was turning the wheels with the key on off the ground?

If you can get the into the codes it should point you in the right direction. As simple code reader would pull abs codes it has to me more of a professional model.

You can disconnect the battery for a wile and clear the codes. If it was just a fluke the light wouldn't come back on.
