Painted Steelies with trim rings??

Has anyone painted their steel wheels, with the holes, gray or silver and put chrome trim rings?? I'm thinking the Speedmaster shade of gray/silver with the the rings might look pretty good!! Thinking about doing this but not sure how it would look! Pics would be ideal!!

As I recall, a few members have done this, with painted blk rims ..

Most good trim rings are stainless.. Which is a bonus, imo..

Looks Good. I suggested chrome lugs to finish off the look...

Give this thread a read, and as sleeper said, chrome lug nuts complete the look nicely.

Thanx for the info...

Thanx guys for the input, but I was hoping to see some pics of silver wheels. I went with painting my stock rims black and leaving the brushed edge on my last project. I don't want to do the same on this project... wanna change it up!

so brushed aluminium paint the outer part and gun metal metallic the inner part, I think that would look cool.

Or just painting the wheel silver and using chrome trim rings.

Right now I have the stock back on though. But I switch sometimes.

Back to the OP's idea of silver paint, I suppose it depends on vehicle color more than anything; however I have a difficult time envisioning anything lighter than charcoal as complimenting polished trim rins.

Speaking of painting rims. I recently painted my Ford Ranger wheels with Rustoleum Charcoal and ended up with random fisheyes or spots where the paint beaded away. I cleaned the rims well prior; what went wrong aside from perhaps using Rustoleum?

nice trim rings on the black or charcoal rims. as for the Rustoleum fisheyes , usally caused by solvent or wax on the surface of the rim need to sand down and wipe down with a good silicone wax remover and respray
