The tool just sends a RF signal to the sensor to activate the "learn" mode. On a 2008 model that is exactly the same as the "inflate/deflate" procedure. So, no it would not help.

However the EL-46079 tool may do the job, the Ateq VT-30 may also do the job. These tools read the I.D. of the sensor, then insert it into the RCDLR.

I am not sure about the Tech 2, but probably would. You would need somebody who is trained.

15268606 can also be installed in HHR SS instead of 25920615.

What do you mean "how"?
One set of wheels with sensors 25920615. Second with 15268606. Hence, the question arose.

Basically you go to a tire store and have them do it, with either parts you bring with you or bought from them. Unless you happen to have a tire mounting machine.
