Smoothie Caps Vs. Baby Moons
I recently acquired my 2010 HHR LT... I love it, except the stock 5 spoke hub caps... I have been looking at all the pictures and its like EVERYONE goes with a 5 spoke/star rim!!.. NO imagination.. I applaud those that go a different route... I myself was looking at doing either smoothie caps or new dish rims and baby moons.
Does any one know of any pros/cons to the Caps???..(heat, dust, cleaning, keeping them on, keeping them) I Really like the Full Moon Smoothie Caps @ hubcapmike.com... Its something you don't see much..
Working on getting some pics to post... I am REAL happy I got this when I did. Gas is about to be $4 a gallon here and I LOVE the 24mpg around town...

Welcome! If you look closer at your stock steel wheels you will find that they do not accept baby moon hubcaps. Check out this link http://wheelvintiques.myshopify.com/...bare-07-series

If I did go BABY moons I know I have to get new rims that will take the baby's... I really like the caps at
http://hubcapmike.com/bhc01-16.html
they are suppose to fit the stock wheels, and look real slick... Maybe racing Disc's... I want to stand out a little...

I want either smoothies or baby moons (mine came with plastic chrome hubcaps, blech) my idiot dealer said gm made babymoons to fit...i was skeptical based on what id read but was willing to give it a go. Ummmmm....yeah they ordered hubcap center disks ( the size of the bottom of a pop can. Grumble grumble...and this was the parts manager!!!! So long story short...you do need new wheels (with the little holes) to get the baby moons. Dont know about the smoothies yet havent researched that yet...also I have the tire pressure sensor on mine...i dont know how that works ie some part of the wheel itself is involved?? Well im sure I will discover the answer...gotta love the internet!!! :)
