Stock rims with wheel trim rings?

I have searched in previous posts but I didn't actually find out if anybody has put wheel trim rings on the stock 16'' steel rims. If anybody has can they post pictures of this? I do like the way they look on older cars and I was going to buy some and try them on but I haven't been able to find any 16'' trim rings around the local parts stores here. I would like to know if it has been tried and if any problems before I go through the trouble of ordering them online and possible returning them if they don't fit front wheel drive rims. Thanks for your help and sorry if it was allready answered on a prevoius post.

Hi - I just wanted to say I am thinking about doing the same thing with my black 09 HHR. I hope someone has some info., or pictures, or are we the only two out there that are thinking about this mod ?? I know I will need to get new non-double threaded black lug nuts, too. Good luck !

I'd like to do this also, but am concerned with the shallowness of the lip front on these front drive rims. No one has done this?

Hi All- Maybe this'll be of some help, try: www.coker.com

or phone em @ 1.800.251.6336 They might know exactly what will fit your 16s' Can't hurt to call & ask..

I have their Part # 3005-16 which are: 16" Hot Rod Style, Stainless trim rings.
They are super shallow, I have em on my back rims of my Antique Harley (former)Police Servi-Car,(trike) which has super shallow 16" auto-style rims. I love em..

They have other 16" shallow trim rings too.. The Stainless is very Hi-polished & looks very classy & will never rust..

Interesting I bought a set at Lordco. They are 1 1/5 inch stainless 16" rings.
Don't like the look of them, they"re going back tomorrow, and probably gonna get a set of Racing Discs!

Gene-

Actually a 'bump' is just a way to bring a topic back to the top of the list..

I only 'bumped it' cause I left a fair bit of info on trim rings & where I got em, & the original poster never replied. Just thought it needed a 2nd chance.

That's it.. nothing more.
