So I'm a new owner of an HHR LS. I got the stock steel wheels with the hub caps. My overall goal of all my mods will be to make the outer appearance as "retro" as possible. Eventually I'd like to go with white walls, but I'm also looking for some "flare" to it and go with some nice looking outer mods to make it unique.

Has anyone done anything creative with the stock steel wheels? Any crazy paint or mods that you've done? Not looking to steal anyone's ideas, more just looking for inspiration.

Have you looked in the "Gallery", it's loaded with cool pics of members rides w/all sorts of mods & etc..

 

A lot of folks are running the "full moon" hubcaps on steelies. Definitely a retro look there.
