Tire fitment

Will 225/55R18 tires fit my non-brembo SS?

I want tires that won't pick up every crack in the road.

I'm running 235x45x18 for that reason, they ride a little better....Michelin Pilot sport as3.......

To expand on George's "No", the inner tread shoulder/sidewalls would foul on the lower front spring perches.

On any HHR, the magic number in tire fitment is 26", that's the largest O.D. you can go with safely.(Well 26-26.2" if you really want to get technical)
