Tire Sensors

Don't know if this has been asked or not. Can you install the tire pressure sensors on a HHR that never had them installed? Will they work? Mine is a 2007 model and just wondering if they would work.

I was wondering the same thing when I heard the 08's have 'em. I won't necessarily install them, but others might want to do so.

Probably requires a BCM reflash and the receiver hardware if they're wireless.

Were tire pressure sensors optional in 07? If so there is a good chance you can retro fit. Other wise you will have to go after market or pay out a lot for the GM version parts.

I don't know if it can be done but I was thinking it would be nice to have on my 2007. I will call technical assistance and see what they have to say. I checked our local GM accessory web site and they don't show TPM sensors in their catalog. If it can be done the RCDLR module will have to be updated with a VCI number supplied by technical assistance, similar to what we do to add remote start to vehicles. I will post what they say about it tomorrow.

I know it's on the steering wheel info button. I thinking that it would be a re-programing.
