I am running directional tires do not cause cupping. they may show it easier. Cupping is a cause and effect issue with something in the suspension and not the tire unless the tire has a bad belt of failure from with in.

And...., lots of people blame the tire when the steel belt marches out of the tread; Wrong, it's the alignment!

Too often the low tire pressure heats the tire up to the point that everything starts to move internally. Then it is blamed on the defective tire and not the owner should could not keep it aired up.
