I guess I haven't seen the wheels your referring to up close, either way...good luck whatever you choose to do.
On our 09 the wheel covers rattled so bad coming up the road it was embarassing. I was afraid of what woudl be underneath but really like the spoke steelies.

If I had that fake "chrome clad" wheels, I'd chisel off that plastic & pitch it..

They are aluminum under the chromed plastic, kinda cheesy, but the bean counters won out over common sense.

Sorry Dracos, didn't mean to duplicate your answer.

I have a question. Does it take some getting use to having the hubs without the covers? I have a LT with the hubs and the noise they make when I hit a bump is driving me crazy lol. Did you change the lugs or left the stock ones ?

I would take those chrome clad wheels over my rattle ridden plastic hub caps any day!! If anyone wants to trade for my 18 hole steelies with hub caps, I'm all for it!!

No one would rip on them if they weren't clad with plastic. If they were 100% aluminum, polished, they would inarguably be premium wheels. However, few people other than us and various people inside GM and their dealers know the true nature about them.

They look good, just (IMO) not on an HHR, because they don't contribute to the retro theme.
