I wonder if anyone has made anything like this, but in like a plastic or a harder material. I just thought of a design that would go around the inner lip of the wheel and then the tire is placed behind the insert and then aired up to keep the insert flush between the wheel and tire and keeping the insert in place. Hmmmm.... It sounds good in my head lol

That's how it works! You do have to break the bead and re seal it over the WW.

I have used these white walls in the past and you couldn't tell the difference, even up close.

I used them on this little 1955 Nash Metropolitan I restored (all six tires) and I never had a problem.

I talked to my dad. He used these back in the day on bias tires. He doesn't think they would work on a daily driver. Did someone say they make a paint?
