Will 245/40R18's fit

The Cobalt SS wheels and clear on the HHR? I'm probably going to need tires again in about 5-10K miles. Not happy with the treadlife on the Eagles (50k my @ss). But not a lot of real good options in the 225/45 range. I've found a few with a warranted 50-60K range in the 245/40 range and it's actually closer to stock size that the 225/45 is.

I knew some ran them on the HHR SS wheels, but didn't know if the Cobalt SS wheels had the same specs.

The DWS's still seem to be in short supply. But how did they hold up mileage wise?

I have directional tires and absolutely hate them , They make a lot of road noise, so if you buy don't get directional tires. And another thing my speedo is off by 3mph , got a ticket for 63 in a 55 , had the cruise set at 60. normally they do not stop you at 5 over but with the 18' wheels and the bigger tires it is off a little.

Mileage ? I don't know I took them off and put F1's on, what a sinister cornering and nasty weather tire. I miss them, they had two of them seperate a belt at 17k. I made a deal for some Potenza 760 so I put them on. They are very sticky, can barely break them loose, if you smoothly floor it, you are just gone, no spin. But that stick turned to slip when it rained, so i sipped them, I can burn them off if I want now, which means they will probably work in the wet. I am in no hurry to find out, but its comming, fall is in the morning air.

If you were going to quote me as " Sam said" the last one is the tire to buy, they are awesome in all conditions. They will be next on the SS. Toyo T1-R
