Well you're looking at an OD of 25.3" assuming you're on an 18 x 8 rim with a 42mm offset, so they will work with a stock ride height. Since the Pedders springs don't change anything other than the ride height you'll have clearance between the top of the tire and the lower spring perch, but I'd be concerned about the tires rubbing in the fenders.

265/35/18 tires work better on 18 x 9 or 18 x 10 rims, 18 x 8's are the minimum width for that size.

I tried 255x40 and it didn't rub, bolt one on and see, it might be the rear where it will be tight.

Did you have them in the rear?

Ok so I am good with the height and just need to worry about the width. I know nittos tend to run smaller in width. So I'll try it.

only way to know for sure I have found great differences in the actual size of tires. The F1's were an inch wider in the same size. No I didn't try the back with the 255's they were too wide for the stock wheel but they were those wide f1's.

255 45 18?

I am thinkineg about 255 45 18s. I know the rear inner wheel well will likely need trimming. I read where someone posted a problem with front spring perch and strut clearance, but I have read where several guys have been running 245 45 18s without problems. 255s are not much taller than 245s.

I am aware that recommended wheel width is 8 inches, but I want a little rubber between the curb and my forged 7.5 SS wheels.

CS I mounted a 255x40 on the SS wheels it barely cleared the spring perch, it is 2mm taller than stock. They turned ok but were too wide on the rim, due to the fact the tire Eagle F1's run an inch wider. I am sure with out trying the 255x45 is too tall unless you are setting on Coilovers.

I am planning on 255x40 when the rest of my boxes get here. Robbs SS is about to mount some 265x35, which are a little shorter 10mm than stock. We will see if they turn without rubbing.
