Winter wheel wobble

Well I bought these Saab wheels at a junk yard for $200...couldn't see the tires the way the car was buried so I was just paying for the wheels for winter use. Luckily the tires are like new. I put them on and got some steering wheel wobble when going down the highway. I remembered back to a post about the retainers causng problems so I went back in and took them off...no more wobble. Does anybody have experience with these bridgestone potenza G009 tires? They have a ton of tread left and if they will be decent in the snow I'll just use them for the winter.

Yes, the wobble seems to be gone after removing the retainers. The tire are pretty noisy compared to the michelins, but I looked on tire rack and all the reviews say they are noisy. They do say they are decent in the snow though, so all in all not bad for $200 nice aluminum Saab wheels and near new tires...

Kind of like a spring washer on two of the studs on each hub...... Factory wheels are clearanced for them, most others aren't so it would cause a wobble...... They don't really need to be there so removing them is a non-issue.

Bridgestone - an excellent factory.
potenza - an excellent product.
I'm a fan of this factory and use only Bridgestone.
The wheel needs to be balanced after the installation of automobile tires - this can not be neglected. Automobile tire is not uniform. The body of the wheel is not uniformly well. Dirt upsets the balance if it is dried on the wheel. Uneven coat of paint does the same thing.
Equipped wheel weighs over 15 kilograms. But the difference is 5 grams - a source of vibration. The difference of 50 grams can kill you in the truest sense. Excessive vibration can damage the metal bearings and levers.
But tell me please. You wait for the snow? You prepare for a snowy winter? Do I understand correctly that you live in Hawaii?
Maybe I do not know geography. But I always thought that Hawaii - the tropical archipelago.
Well. If you're really waiting for a snowy winter - I have to disappoint you. Your wheels poorly suited for movement on snow and ice. My car came to me on the wheels, similar to yours (Firestone - Bridgestone's sister). The car behaved like a drunken cow on ice. Now I use these wheels in the summer. For winter, I bought the Bridgestone Blizzak (I'll show you a photo if you teach me to put pictures in the forum).
In other matters, I do not claim to ultimate truth. Like I said, I do not know of the road the United States. Perhaps this is a common situation for the U.S.. Perhaps "American snowy winter" is very different from the "Russian snowy winter".
