06 E85 ION Redline vs 09 GMS1 Cobalt SS/TC
Hey guys,
I don't post on this forum very often but I ran an SS/TC last weekend and I thought I would share my vid.

ION Redline
Custom Tube Inc Exhaust
Siemens 80# Fuel Injectors
E85
M62 w/ Ported outlet/Polished inlet
2.6" Pulley
HPTuners Custom Tune
K&N Drop In Filter
ZZP S3 Heat Exchanger
ZZP Dual Pass Endplate
GM Option B Kit
Cobalt SS/TC
GM Stage 1
Hahn 3" Cat-back
K&N Drop in Filter
Don't take the LSJ > LNF stuff to seriously. That is mainly for my Cobalt buddies who I love to get a rise out of!
Its all in good fun.
I honestly thought I was going to loose. There is a dyno sheet on CSS of a GM Stage 1 Cobalt putting down 321whp, 335wtq. But most are in the 280whp/310wtq range. I am probably in the 290whp/270wtq range. I will know tomorrow. So I was scared to run but it was worth a try.
Enjoy!

Nice job with your Ion redline, I owned a custom white 04 Ion QC3 (what I traded in on the 09 HHR SS), almost bought a gray Ion redline myself but the performance on the 04 model redlines didn't impress me for the money, so I stuck with the white one with the 2.2 ecotech. To date it was the most reliable, trouble free and best car I ever owned new to pay off, only problem ever I had was crappy GM rotors (theres a surprise ).

1.they are lighter with a slighty better gear ratio
2.it seems more aftermarket companies cater to the balt over the hhr.(engine bay config)
3. it seems like the balt guys are getting 350-400 pretty easy, well it seems to be more people in 300+ho range.
4.outer apperance,i like the cobalt better. (inside,i lOVE the hhr.)

you can get the same power as well as all the cobalt mods fit, with the exception of the intake. the only people making 350+hp are turbo swapped. this is all if you have the stick. the auto is slightly different deminsions.
