A local Sonic Drive In had a car show recently. I parked next to the lot where the show was and walked over to look at some really nice cars and hot rods. As I got to the lot, someone approached me and asked if that blue HHR was mine. I thought I had illegally parked and told them it was mine. He had a car entered in the show, but wanted to tell me how nice my HHR looked. Another person overheard him and agreed. Pretty neat with all those classic rides sitting there and some people were looking over my HHR.

I think it's great that people stop to comment on our cars. I always make sure I have enough time to chit chat when I take it out places...because at least 50% of the time someone is gonna stop and ask questions here.

Deb, I was driving home yesterday and spotted a 1967 Olds rolling towards me in the other direction so I was giving it serious attention when I realized that the Olds driver was doing the same to my HHR !!! Everywhere we go with ours it draws attention and does well in the carshows too.

There was a gosh awful PT Cruiser entered in that show I mentioned above. I owned one before my HHR, but this guy had it looking so tacky it was pitiful. BUT, he was the only one entered in his class (whatever that was) and won a trophy. By the time this show comes around next year, I'll have some wheels and guess what....I'll enter in his class and see what happens.
