HHR SS vs. Civic hatch

The SS has won yet another race againt the infamous VTEC nuts. Tonight I raced my friend in his 92 civic hatch with a gsr engine swap along with some other mods. All thats done to the ss is the 'stage kit.' The first race we dug it out. He launched pretty hard and I didn't but I still caught and passed him by the QM mark. We spun around and ran again from a 35 mph roll. Without a sweat I left him watching my tail lights fade in the distance. Its hard to judge distance when the cars in your rear view mirror. I love it. lol.

Wow, you beat a 17 year old car that had 175hp. Bet you feel proud.....

GSR is the slowest motor they have.

What's your next target, mini-van?

at a curb weight of 2100lbs with 175hp that would be a pretty quick civic. do a little simple math and you'll find out that the hhr has about a 1.5hp per pound advantage. and you obviously have never heard of a d15 or a d16 or a b16 for that matter cause those are all inferior motors to the gsr

I purchased a 94 del Sol with the 1.6 DOHC VTEC new way back when. First production car to have 100/L. Fun car on the curves, not fast in the straights stock. That's why ricers have to bottle feed them. No torque.

So, yes, I've heard of them....

well if you add a power adder to the gsr motor or take the turbo off the ss the civic will win. i have an hhr ss and love it but a swapped hatch is gonna be a pretty quick car regardless....its all power to weight ratio...and that's all my point is.

It may be, but until we have a CHEAPER place to race "legally" it will still continue to happen, there is nothing that anyone can do to stop it. Just wish the "authorities" would see that.

I would go racing at our drag strip, but they want $65.00 per person, and I am not willing to pay that much.
