If we believe the picture - the bumper is moderately damaged. Derailed by mounting on the left side. Perhaps he reinsert after some bonding / welding. Perhaps, the defect paint at the bottom - painting.
The first winter I often sat in the snowdrifts. Was forced to again get used to driving without a stabilizing electronic devices (my HHR not has helps electronics).
But you know that most annoying? Lack of towing loops. Can not catch and pull out of the snow this car. You can only dig.
I'm very surprised - I can see the tow rope in the hands of a guy. Hey guy! For what place you tied it?

It was toe rope. I was pulled out after an hour of trying to free my self. Just the bumper came loose on the right side.
