Always one to try and put a positive spin on things.......good thing you were going that fast, any slower that bird might have survived and suffered a slow painful death. This way I'm pretty sure it was instantaneous!

Well considering I was driving down the half-mile driveway to my house(which is the only house on that road) I wasnt of any danger to anyone other than myself. I've lost my father, brother and 3 friends to street racing accidents, which is why I don't condone this whatsoever. How about gettin a little background info before you assume I was doing something like haulin ass through a school zone dodging buses and soccer moms.

Dude, it was only a bird! It's not illegal to do a little spirited driving. Senior citizen are grown up and they are some of the worst drivers out there. Let it go!

Actually, I am NOW a senior citizen and I have always believed this. But according to recent studies by some kind of insurance institute and AAA, that is not true. According to them, drivers 50-65 are the most safe drivers (although, I believe they may UNCONSCIOUSLY CAUSE most accidents and then continue on their way) . Drivers in the 18-26 and 70-80 are nearly equal, as the highest hazard.

NO way that 50-65 are senior citizen years.

I'm glad some of you guys don't think I'm a reckless nutcase for driving my car like this. Like I said, this was done on a private, gated driveway on my own personal property. If there were anyone else on this road, they were trespassing. And in Texas, there's a little thing called the "Dusk til Dawn" law that's still in effect.

Could you be approaching or IN THAT age category??? Hard to accept isn't it.

Anyway, I just provided a note from the information that I had read. I'm not categorizing anyone.

But, the term "senior citizen" is a bit nebulous.....with many different and accepted age starting points. For example, many communities are for SENIOR CITIZENS only. With the entry level age of 50 or 55. AARP allows membership at 50. Many restaurants provide Senior Citizen Discounts with various age requirements from 50 to 65. The government, I believe, says 65 with that increasing to 67 to correlate with full SS eligibility. Some places giving discounts, say as long as you are collecting SS.

Enjoy you status !!!!
