The bottom tensioner is for the non VVT 2.2 The top tensioner is for the VVT 2.0, 2.2 , 2.4 Note tge springs that push the piece on the left against the timing chain shoe. 2006 thru 2008 2.2 did not have VVT and many of us installed the hump version for the flattop version, mistakenly thinking it was the newer version. That part on the right end of each spring is the release mechanism.
