Take you angle grinder and grind these rivets on the ball joint side flat. Then centre punch them and drill 1/8 hole straight down they them , then 1/4 then 5/16. Drill the heads off with a 1/2 drill bit just until the head pops off
Knock the ball joint off the lac and then drive the remaining part of the rivet out of the LCA.

Try blowing air thru the under hood EVAP valve, it should be closed. Replace the valve if air does pass thru it.

That new 2.4 block with the head gasket in place, note there is no oil passageway for the VVT solenoids, those are in the cylinder head.
