The hump version is for the 2.0, 2.2, 2.4 with VVT on the top The flat top version is for the 2.2 non VVT on the bottom The part on the right end of each spring is the release mechanism when you tap the chain shoe to activate it

That part on the right end of each spring is the release mechanism.
