Well I got the car home and apart and my hunch was correct, there’s isn’t a c clip where there should be one. The old one must have came off when I removed the old half shaft and in my haste I didn’t check. My issue is finding one. I have relentlessly scoured the internet but I can’t seem to find a part number. Maybe some kind soul here has a number or a link to where I can get a new one? I’d be forever grateful

I have kicked around several ideas anywhere from going and buying a cheap harbor freight mig welder and repeating this job as they did it, or deflating my ego by taking it somewhere and paying to have it put in, to replacing the cat.
