2.0 LDK Build

I was asked to show my build. I have built many supercharged and turbo engines, but this is my first 4 cylinder.

What I have is a 08 Saturn Sky Redline. This is the only forum that I have showed what I am doing. Hopefully some will enjoy.

This is the complete engine I bought.

The first thing I bought was a turbo so I wouldn't fall off track! Lol

This is a EFR 7163 twin scroll turbo.

Is there any chance that we can change this topic to LDK build instead of LNF build? Sorry I don't know why I put LNF. Thanks!

So, the engine was used? Is that why you tore it down? What happened with that gouge?

The suspense is killing me!

My car has 14,000 miles on it with the LNF. I just decided I need more power after tuning all I can get out of a mostly stock LNF. I bought a brand new LDK crate motor, turbo and all, too start my project. I wanted the better block. so I will have a complete engine to take out. I like having a spare engine, If you know what I mean? lol

If you look at the deck it looks like they slid it over a dirty bench. Made me mad, but all will be well when I get it decked. I have to say the picture makes it look worse than it is. I can say it wouldn't have survived if I had just installed it in my car. That nick goes right into the fire ring on the gasket.
