The ACDelco 131-158 is substantially more than $34.23. Which stat did you order?

I posted photo of the GM original 131-158 , listed at $95.
Did you mean the shipping was $34?

Yes. Shipping cost alone was $34 CAD. So had to buy local - Motorad for $30.

What Motorad p/n? RA has Motorad 5461180 they list as "heavy duty." Less than $14 U.S. Wonder if that one has ever given anyone trouble?

The Mahle TX12282 (The ONLY acceptable substitute, sez me. Please see post #60 above before you dispute this) is $15.35 U.S. at RA right now. Plus shipping, of course. Now I want to check at a few parts stores and see if they stock it. Also, they describe it as Mahle/Clevite. Mahle is a huge worldwide part producer, seems they now own the Clevite name. Seeing a couple other names attached to that p/n too. Just a way of gaining local acceptance, it would appear.

Yes, hooey! That’s why I don’t recommend any thermostat other than the ACD 131-158 180 degrees F .
