Question What tempeture does the HHR SS run at "coolent"

Depending on the day, the info tempeture will read between 208 and 221deg here in AZ. The gauge on the cluster reads lower than halfway. Which one to read and what are the temp range for the HHR? This is summer time driving with 107 to 114 deg outside. Thanks

Mine is always under 200 but I'm not in such high ambient temperatures. Does it run cooler when it's cooler outside? Does the stage 1 kit use a higher temp thermostat?

In moderate or cool weather mine runs between 185 and 194 or so, in hot weather higher. In really hot weather, 104 plus, it runs above 200, sometimes as high as 215, but cools quickly as I slow down. The electric fan is pretty effective, even in 100 degree plus weather, it can idle for long periods of time and stay right around 200, of course with the AC running. AC in the HHR is very effective.

The stage 1 kit does not come with a different thermostat. A different one is not needed either.

camaro, Mine often runs in the same range as yours. It is usually in the low 200's but sometimes it gets into the teens. I just saw 219 today while waiting to park for a ballgame.

If I'm sitting at a light on a 90+ degree day I see 214-ish, fan kicks on drops to 204. Same day on the highway I'm generally running 192-198 or so
