Ya, found out the rebuilt engine was done wrong. Now I am building a engine for the boat. Found the gimbal ring and bell housing are rubbing each other. So I am going through the transom assy now. I have been searching for a used gimbal ring and bell housing. Found a gimbal ring. My good deal on a boat just went south. Lol sounds like your projects are getting the better of you too. Good to hear from you.

It's all fixable. Just open hatch and dump in money It will be better after you are done. I can't leave anything along either, even the stuff I borrow from people. For some reason I feel compelled to return it in better shape than I borrowed it in.

Did the worlds in Key West this past November. Saw a number of friends and didn't have to work, what a concept. Only thing bad about it was the fact that I wasn't working or racing and I think I spent more money than if I had been. Super Cat class has mostly Skaters now, in the past the MTI was the hull to have. It seems Peter (Douglas Marine) found more speed in the hull design than Randy (MTI). Super Cat is a Spec class in terms of motors and drives so it all comes down to setup prop selection being the most important, driver and throttle man. If you ever don't have anything to do in November you should do key west during the worlds. It's offshore's racing mecca.

DrLoch I have been busy. Wife decided we needed a new kitchen, machinist wife was in hospital and almost died, so boat engine is way behind schedule. It is finally coming along. Just wrote a check to send to Rick today, for the manifold and down pipe he made me. So pictures will be coming in about a couple weeks. They say everything comes in three's. All this at once is killing me financially. Lol

Understand that. Rebuilt the diesel engine for my Ferguson over the winter. Last month I bought a 06 STS V for the wife that needs some help. She wanted a Jeep this is what she is going to get. This Cadillac project of mine can drain ya as well. They only made 2503 of these things total from 2006 - 2009 so getting some parts is like finding hens teeth.
