Just got myself a replacement K&N filter for my SS. I started up the engine before I put the cover back on and the difference in the sound is amazing. I have a few questions:

1. Other than Hottter air coming in, is there any problem with leaving the cover off?
2. Anyone else that has done this, and put the cover back on, did you notice that there is a little square thingy that hits the filter and you have to force it to tighten all the way down?
3. What are my options to putting the cover back on, but still having the good sound?

Thanks in advance. This is my first car with a turbo, so I am still learning, and don't want to f it up.
