I got mine a few weeks ago. I got it from a local dealer for $450, I work for an AC Delco repair shop so we are able to recalibrate the pcm, and what I was surprised to know is that when you call to get the calibration, they charge the dealership/repair facility $75 for it. Which is a bunch of BS! So basically you are paying $450-$500 for 2 maps sensors and 2 wiring connectors. If you take the part numbers of the sensors and wiring connectors it is less than $250 in parts. That just doesn't seem right...but oh well. I am however happy with the power upgrade!

Has anyone had this upgrade performed in the Western NY area? (Rochester-Buffalo) If so, where did you go to get it down. I'd rather deal with a shop whose done it before, and in theory knows what they are doing.

Since I'm picking up my 2009 SS tomorrow (new to me, 20k miles) how could I tell if this upgrade has already been done? ( doubtful but possible) It's coming from Doan Chevrolet in Rochester, one previous owner, a guy with lots of high performance toys in his garage, Vette Camaro, this SS etc.

Think the dealership would show me service records for this VIN?

There should be a sticker under the hood that states it has part #19212670 installed along with a sticker where the gas cap is that says "Premium Fuel" only. Also, you can look at the MAP sensors. They should say Bosch on them.

Thanks for the tips. I saw the Premium Fuel tag, but figured that was true of any turbo.

Recovering from a broken foot, but hobbled out to the SS. No sign of any new stickers under hood. I haven't actually driven it yet to verify total boost level. Hopefully the cast comes off this week!
